Street Art Library

All around us, there are plenty of interesting street art pieces, ranging from small stickers and graffiti-covered walls to various types of 3D objects. Since the creators of these works must remain anonymous due to legal restrictions, the world of street art is completely altruistic and separate from the commercial world. The street art we see almost everywhere in the city usually stays very current. New street art pieces cover up the old ones; paint peels away along with the plaster; 3D objects fall victim to vandalism; and stickers eventually peel off or fade due to environmental factors. It’s a natural process, a matter of time, but I believe that some street art deserves to have its lifespan extended.

That’s why I decided to document the most interesting works. To that end, in 2017 I created a Facebook page called “Street Art Library,” to which I’ve been adding posts ever since. To reach a wider audience, I later created an Instagram page with the same name.

On these pages, I try to feature mainly works that convey a specific idea, while I view the aesthetic aspect of the work as secondary.
